Q&A
Vacinations
What vaccinations do you require?
To maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all pets, we require:
-
Proof of current rabies vaccination (paperwork needed).
-
Pets to wait at least 48 hours after any vaccinations before their appointment.
Puppies and kittens aged 8 weeks to 4 months can be groomed after receiving their three rounds of vaccinations.
Please note: All pets must be in good health before grooming services.
Booking
How do I book an appointment online?
We apologize, but our online booking system is currently unavailable.
In the meantime, you can book your pet’s grooming appointment in the following ways:
-
Call the salon location you’d like to visit.
-
Emailing us at [email protected]. Please include your name, phone number, pet’s name, and preferred salon location in your email.
We recommend booking appointments in advance, especially for weekends, to ensure shorter wait times for you and your pet.
Do I need to book an appointment in advance?
Booking an appointment ensures you and your pet are not kept waiting. Weekends are especially busy, so appointments are highly recommended for Saturdays and Sundays.
We accept walk-ins when space allows. Please call the salon to check availability.
All cat services require a call ahead of time to ensure a certified cat groomer is available.

Drying Methods
Do you kennel dry dogs?
-
We choose the drying method based on your pet’s hair type, breed, age, and behaviour.
-
Kennels are sometimes used for short-nosed dogs.
-
We have safety procedures for kennel dryers to keep pets safe (no heating elements, automatic shut-off timers).
-
We often combine drying techniques to minimize drying time.
If you have questions about drying methods, discuss them with a groomer when booking your appointment.
-
Food and Water

All pets will have access to fresh water throughout their visit.
We don’t provide food because some pets have allergies.

Pets are cared for in clean kennels with water provided.

Grooming Services
What if my dog doesn't like getting groomed?
Our groomers are trained to use positive reinforcement and prioritize your pet’s comfort. They can work slowly for nervous pets and may stop grooming if safety is compromised.
Please let us know about your pet’s preferences when booking, so we can tailor the grooming experience.
How do you handle older pets?
For older pets with mobility challenges or fatigue, we offer an express service that reduces time in the salon. Please ask your stylist for details.
What if my cat doesn't like getting groomed?
Don’t be discouraged if your cat doesn’t tolerate all services at once. Cats are independent and may find the grooming process stressful.
Our groomers are trained to adapt their approach to your cat’s unique needs. With patience and consistency, you can help your cat become more comfortable with grooming.
Remember: Grooming is essential for maintaining a cat’s skin health, reducing shedding, and minimizing allergies.
Grooming Results
I don't like my pet's haircut. What can I do?
If you’re dissatisfied with your pet’s grooming result, please ask your groomer to fix it immediately. We strive for quality service and want you to be happy.
How long can I wait to have a grooming issue corrected?
For nail trims, please return within three days. For haircuts, please return within one week.
Grooming Concerns
If you have any concerns or feedback regarding your pet’s grooming experience, please contact our customer service team at 437-818-5555.
Why weren't my dog's paws cleaned well?
For small dogs, we shave the hair between their paws to prevent sensitivity and infections. For larger dogs, we shave the hair to reduce discomfort from dirt and debris.
My dog's nails are cut too short and bleeding.
If nails are not cut regularly, the “quick” (the sensitive inner part) can grow longer. Some dogs may also have ingrown nails.
Does the ear hair need to be plucked out?
Ear hair can block the ear canal, leading to odour and infections. However, we avoid excessive ear hair removal in puppies and dogs with ear infections due to sensitivity.
Shaving the ears can cause hematomas (blood clots). To prevent this, avoid allowing your dog to shake their head after the grooming and apply bandages to keep the ears close to the head.
Pet Safety
What if my pet gets hurt after grooming?
While we take every precaution to ensure your pet’s safety, grooming can occasionally result in minor injuries such as nicks, cuts, or abrasions. This is more likely to occur with pets that have matted fur, moles, warts, or skin folds.
Please carefully inspect your pet when picking them up from the salon and don’t hesitate to speak with a staff member if you notice any signs of injury.
If you have any concerns or feedback regarding your pet’s grooming experience, please contact our customer service team at 437-818-5555.
Eye inflammation can occur after bathing and blow drying. Use an e-collar to protect your pet’s eyes and avoid scratching once they are home.
Client Consent and Liability Release
The client understands that if their dog has matted fur, a shave-down may be necessary for their comfort and health. By agreeing to the shave-down, the client acknowledges the potential risks and releases the grooming business from liability for any harm caused by the grooming process with matted fur. If the client does not consent to a shave-down, the full grooming fee will apply.
